FAYETTE — Funeral services for Mrs. Maggie Bell Snyder Rankin, 75, of Fayette, who died Saturday, Sept. 7, 2013, at Jefferson County Hospital, will be noon Saturday at Fountain Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church with the Rev. Michael Brown officiating.

Burial will follow at the Fountain Chapel A.M.E. Church Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.

Visitation will be 11 a.m. Saturday until time of services at the church.

Mrs. Rankin was born Nov. 9, 1932 in Jefferson County, the daughter of Ruffus and Melissa Sholes Snyder.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Louis Rankin Sr.; one son, Charles Rankin; four sisters, Margaret Snyder, Marie Grayson, Panola Snyder and Conniea Snyder; and two brothers, Ed Snyder and Willie Snyder.

Survivors include three daughters, Lucy Fluker and husband, Tracy, Dora Rankin and Nola Rankin; two sons, Louis Rankin Jr. and wife, Diane, and Dudley Rankin and wife, Eva Mae; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
