BROOKHAVEN — Funeral services for Billy J. Criswell, 82, who died Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2013, will be at noon Friday at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial will follow at Criswell Family Cemetery under the direction of Brookhaven Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Mr. Criswell was born April 20, 1931, the son of Clarence and Mary Ozelle Mauney Criswell.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Linda Dabbs Criswell; four sons, Bobby Dale Criswell and wife, Teresa, of San Antonio, Mickey Welch, Todd Welch and wife, Cristi, of Vidalia, and Richard Criswell and wife, Corre, of Monroe, La.; one daughter, Sandy Terry and husband, Donald; one brother, Wayne Criswell and wife, Betty, of Loyd Star; one sister; Cathy Criswell Grove of Bellwood, Pa.; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.

We are thankful for his life and for the love, kindness and mercy he showed to his family and others he met along his journey here on Planet Earth. We will meet again as believers in Jesus.
