NATCHEZ — An Adams County man alleged to have accepted money for gravesite monuments but never delivering on the promise faces yet another charge of the same crime.
Dwight Gibson, 46, 2119 Second St., was charged Monday with embezzlement of property held in trust.
An Adams County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson said the charge was a result of Gibson allegedly accepting money for a tombstone that was never produced.
Gibson — who operates Clear Creek Monuments — was originally indicted in December 2012 on five counts of false pretense for five separate victims and gravestone purchases of approximately $6,500. He was alleged to have contracted to do the gravestone work under various business names.
Gibson was arrested again in August on charges of embezzlement of property held in trust. His bond was revoked Aug. 5.
No bond was set for Gibson’s new charge Monday.
