FERRIDAY – Services for Ethel Lewis Finley, 96, of Monterey, who died Monday, Dec. 24, 2007, at Odyssey Hospice, in Houston, will be at 11 a.m. Sunday at Doty Road Church of God, in Ferriday, with the Rev. Kelly Wilson officiating.

Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Finley was born April 8, 1911, in Monterey, the daughter of Arthur and Anna Walker Lewis. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include her sons, Vernell Finley and wife, Sadie, both of Monterey, Tommy Finley and Larry Finley and wife, Gloria, all of Houston; daughters, Mary Branch of Chicago, Veotra Johnson and husband, Ellis, both of Shreveport, La. and Emma Bradstreet of New Orleans; brother, Joe Lewis of Monterey; sisters, Thelma Wells of Monterey; Albertina Tolliver of Anderson, Ind., Sarah Adams of St. Louis, Mo. and Minnie Washington of Shreveport; a number of grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
