HAMBURG — Services for Tiny Upton, 94, of Roxie, who died Saturday, Dec. 29, 2007, at her residence, will be at 11 a.m. today at Bethlehem Baptist Church with the Rev. Carl Johnson officiating.

Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home of Bude.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time today at the church.

Mrs. Upton was born Oct. 8, 1913, in Franklin County, the daughter of Ed Gatein and Maggie Lewis.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a loving husband, Julius Upton; son, Lawrence Upton; five sisters; and four brothers.

Survivors include a daughter, Ruby Upton; grandchildren, Carl Upton, Charles Upton and wife, Darlene, Melvin Upton and wife, Marilyn, Larry Upton and special grandson, Douglas Upton and wife, Sharon; sisters, Ruby Carter, Adell Ditimus and Marie Dunlap; brother, Nathaniel Harris; eight great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
