FORT WORTH, Texas — Services for Johnny Mack Watts, 64, of Fort Worth, Texas, who died Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2008, at James L. West Hospice, in Fort Worth, will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Laird Funeral Home Union Street Chapel with the Rev. Dan Wynn officiating.

Burial will follow at Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time Tuesday at the funeral home.

Mr. Watts was born Nov. 9, 1943, in Dallas, Texas, the son of Mack Watts. He graduated from Natchez High School in 1961 and entered the U.S. Navy and served aboard the USS Calvert where he was a mail clerk. He was honorably discharged in 1963. He received his cosmetology license from Dillards Beauty School and practiced hairdressing in Beverly Hills, Calif. Among his many clients was Judy Garland. He was a landman for 25 years in the oil and gas industry.

He was a loving son, brother, cousin, uncle, father and friend. He never met a stranger, was slow to anger, easy to humor and was a voracious reader. He loved SEC football. He also maintained an extensive collection of fishing tackle. He’ll be missed by all.

He was preceded in death by his younger brother, Jimmy.

Survivors include his sons, Joshua Watts of Ocala, Fla., and Jonah Watts of South Jordan, Utah; his mother, Emma L. Dillard of Natchez; brothers, Henry Watts and Daniel Dillard, both of Natchez and Joseph Dillard of Lodera Ranch, Calif.; sister, Patsy Rogillo of Vidalia; and cousins, Lishmans, Peveys, Lunds, Lamberts, Masons, Johnsons, and Smiths, all of Tallulah, La.

Pallbearers will be Tommy Pevey, Keith Mason, Bruce Lund, Dale Lund, Stephen Rogillio, Tim McGivaren, Harry Boschieri and Stanley Oberlin.

Honorary pallbearers will be Buddy Lund, Louie Lund and James Pevey.

Celebration of life will be at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Tim McGivaren, 5 Emerald Lane, Natchez, MS, after the funeral services.
