WOODVILLE — Services for Lucile Shelton Plitt, 91, of Woodville, who died Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2008, at Field Memorial Community Hospital in Centreville, will be at 11 a.m. today at Woodville United Methodist Church with the Rev. Van Moore officiating.
Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Woodville under the direction of Newman Funeral Home of Centreville.
Visitation is from 10 a.m. until service time today at the church.
Mrs. Plitt was a native of Fulton, Ky. and a resident of Woodville for 83 years. She was a retired bookkeeper for Treppendahl Wholesale and a member of Woodville United Methodist Church where she was choir director for many years.
Mrs. Plitt was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Clarance Cherry Shelton; her husband, Charles A. Plitt Sr.; one sister, Gladys Miller; and two brothers, Troy Shelton and Henry Shelton.
Survivors include one son, Charles A. Plitt Jr. and wife, Betty, both of Woodville; one brother, Paul Wilson Shelton of Oneonta, N.Y.; two grandchildren, Mike Plitt and wife, Suzanne, both of Zachary, La. and Theresa Plitt Rauscher and husband, Jamie, both of Pensacola, Fla.; three great-grandchildren, Tanner Plitt, Lindsey Rauscher and Bennett Rauscher; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Norman Carter, Lee Morris, Tobie Morris, John Dale, Prentiss Ferguson and Shep Crawford.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Cutrer and Dr. Robert Lewis.1916
