NATCHEZ — Services for James D. Woods, 53, of Lake Stevens, Wash., who died Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2013, at his residence, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Antioch Baptist Church with Dr. J.L. Hammitte officiating.

Burial will follow at LaGrange Cemetery under the direction of Webb Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Woods was born Nov. 10, 1959, in Natchez, the son of Frank Woods Sr. and Clementeen Woods. He attended South Natchez High School and was employed by Norsol Seafood in Everett, Wash. He was retired.

Mr. Woods accepted Christ and was baptized at an early age. He was also a bass guitarist.

Mr. Woods was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Clementeen Woods and Susie W. Johnson; and one brother-in-law, Marion Durr.

Survivors include four daughters, Lawanda Ware, the Rev. Dawana Brickhouse, Sharonda Stocks and Marcia Stokes; six grandchildren; two sisters, the Rev. Patricia W. Durr and Joyce W. Newell; three brothers, Frank Woods Jr., Cleveland Woods Sr. and Johnnie Woods; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
