NATCHEZ — Services for Ernestine Ard, 71, of Natchez, who died Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2013, at her residence, will be at 11 a.m. today at Morgantown Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Edgar Wright and the Rev. Dennis Ellingburg officiating.

Burial will follow at Seals Cemetery in Washington Parish, La., under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time today at the church.

Mrs. Ard was born Nov. 20, 1941, in Quentin, the daughter of Ernie Jackson and Selma Case Jackson. She was a member of Morgantown Baptist Church and the Eastern Star.

Mrs. Ard was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Claude Jackson; and three sisters, Delphine Hammontree, Carolyn Rankin and Josie Foster.

Survivors include her husband, Robert W. Ard; one son, Stephen Ard; and two grandchildren, Stephanie Ard and Zachary Ard, all of Petal.

Pallbearers will be Clayton Foster, Bennie Punchard, Dean Foster, L.J. Britt, Jack Cupit and Gillis Bland.

Honorary pallbearers will be Herman Eldridge, Jessie Martin, Frank Rhinehart and Jimmy Landry.
