BUDE – Services for Geraldine Anne Wilkinson, 72, of Bude, who died Saturday, Feb. 23, 2008, at Meadville Convalescent Home, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Christ’s Temple Apostolic Faith Church.
Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, in Meadville, under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home in Bude.
Visitation will be from 5:30 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 11 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
Mrs. Wilkinson was born Nov. 13, 1936, in New Orleans, the daughter of Edward Adams and Luegenia Brooks Adams. Mrs. Wilkinson attended B.T. Washington High School and A.P. Clay Bible College. She was a member the Eastern Star Chapter 69 and East Jefferson Prayer Band. She was also a member of Macedonia Baptist Church and St. Michael Baptist Church. Mrs. Wilkinson was organist for several churches in the Kenner-New Orleans area for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Barbara Adams Goosey; and one brother, Hayward “Tom Tom” Adams.
Survivors include a loving husband, Richard Wilkinson; two daughters, Yvonne Marie Ward and Luegenia Marie Robinson; four sons, Roosevelt Proyer Jr., Edward Proyer, Albert Proyer and Wayne Louis Proyer; two sisters, Betty Jean Jones and Beatrice Duncan; ex-husband, Roosevelt Proyer Sr.; 17 grandchildren; a number of great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
