NATCHEZ – Services for Estelle Mae “Aunt Boo” Davis, 55, of Natchez, who died Thursday, Feb. 28, 2008, at her residence, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Greater St. Mark Baptist Church with the Rev. Maurice Irving officiating.
Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Robert D. Mackel and Sons Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from noon until 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Miss Davis was born Aug. 17, 1952, in Natchez, the daughter of Henry Davis and Frances Proby Davis. She was a graduate of North Natchez class of 1972. She owned and operated the former Kids World Daycare Center and was also a daycare provider at Natchez Regional Hospital Daycare Center, as well as, various other area daycare centers.
Miss Davis was a Baptist and a member of Greater St. Mark Baptist Church, Women of Worship and a choir member.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Edward “Stick” Davis.
Survivors include six sisters, Flora P. Payne, Georgia Ware, and Cotina Davis, all of Natchez, Bobbie D. Ridley and Tamara Gamage and husband, Roderick, all of Pascagoula, and Sherry Gray and husband, David, both of Gautier; two brothers, James Ray Davis of Pascagoula and Daryl Davis of Gautier; three uncles, Johnny Davis and wife, Sandra, both of Natchez, and James Thornton and Lewis Felton, both of Kansas City, Mo.; one godchild, Shakeetha Payne of Detroit; three special children, Ryvonda Dunlap, Kenisha Dunlap and Jalyry Payne, all of Natchez; her husband for 33 years, Tommy Davis of Natchez; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be friends of the family.
