NATCHEZ — Services for Cecil Earl Ezell, 87, of Vidalia, who died Thursday, Aug. 8, 2013, at his residence, will be at 3 p.m. today at McNeely Road Church of God with the Revs. Brian Monehan, Julius Robert and N.E. Hartshorn officiating.
Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time today at the church.
Mr. Ezell was born June 2, 1926, in Geneva County, Ala., the son of H. Ezell and Ida Mae Gleason Ezell. He retired from International Paper Company after 44 years of service.
Mr. Ezell loved bird dogs, quail hunting and attending gun shows. He loved to laugh, tell stories and visit with friends.
Mr. Ezell loved gospel music and his family. Most of all, he loved his Savior.
He was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Ann Snowden Ezell; two sons, Danny Ezell of New York , N.Y., and Mark Ezell of Vidalia; two daughters, Becky Julkenbeck of Jackson and Marilyn Norfleet and husband, Linn, of Chapmansboro, Tenn.; four grandchildren, Brent Julkenbeck and wife, Stephanie, of Nashville, Tenn., Keith Julkenbeck of Jackson, Jessica Ezell of Natchez and Maggie Norfleet of Kansas City, Mo.; and two great-grandchildren, Christopher Grace of Natchez and Noah David Julkenbeck (due September 2013.)
Pallbearers will be Les Hinson, Brent Adkinson, Ronald Barnhill, Lee Cain, Johnny Bonds and David Brown.
Honorary pallbearers will be George Bonner, W.C. McCurley and Kenneth Hall.
