VERSIDE, Calif. – Services for Charles “Pee Wee” Gordon, 74, of Riverside, Calif., were held Thursday, Feb. 28, 2008, at Acheson & Graham Memorial Chapel.
Mr. Gordon was born Feb. 11, 1934, in Natchez, the son of Foster and Marguerite Dottery Gordon. He attended school in Natchez, graduating from St. Francis High School in 1952.
He was preceded in death by one son, Dewayne; his parents; and one brother, Foster.
Survivors include his loving wife of 53 years, Inez; one daughter, Cheryl; one son, Charles Jr.; godsons, James Dottery Jr. and Ken Porter; four grandchildren, Jamien, Alexia, Tramaine-Inez and Cana; five great-grandchildren, Rashard, Jamien Jr., Jaida, Brianna and Janessa; four brothers, Wilbert and wife, Nola, Robert and Dwayne, all of Natchez, and Donald of Minneapolis, Minn.; eight sisters, Evelyn Harris and husband, J.C., Iona and Jacqueline, all of Natchez, Connie of Baton Rouge, Peggy Mayberry and husband, Harry, Carolyn, Helen and Elaine, all of Minneapolis; one uncle, James Dottery of Riverside, Calif.; one aunt, Lillian Taylor of Natchez; one sister-in-law, Dorothy Riley; and one brother-in-law, Rudolph Riley of Riverside.
