Voncile Ogden Tew
Natchez — Graveside services for Voncile Ogden Tew, 86, of Natchez, who died March 14, 2008, in Pensacola, Fla., were at 3 p.m. Sunday at Natchez City Cemetery.
Burial followed under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation was at 2 p.m. Sunday at Laird Funeral Home Union Street Chapel.
Tew, a retail merchant, owned and operated JoVon’s Clothiers in Ferriday for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie Tew; her parents, Howard and Lena Ogden; her sister, Noel Schrader; and her two brothers, Bill Ogden and Dickie Ogden.
She is survived by her son, Ron Tew and his wife Jeanne, of Pensacola.; her daughter Charlotte McCormick and her husband John of Gautier, six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
The family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at West Florida Hospital and to especially acknowledge the caring and helpful staff of Consulate Health Care and Covenant Hospice.
