FERRIDAY — Services for Casey W. Smith, 34, of Ferriday, who died Sunday, March 16, 2008, in Houston, Texas, will be at 2 p.m. today at Young’s Funeral Home in Ferriday with the Rev. Mack Walker officiating.
Burial will follow at the Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Mr. Smith was born Nov. 22, 1973, in Metairie, La. He worked for International Fire and Safety and served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Pugent Sound. He trained in Orlando, Fla. and was stationed in Norfolk, Va.
Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his great-grandmother, Thelma Brubaker; step-grandfather, Wallace Walker Brubaker; and half sister, Micah Scott.
Survivors include his mother, Dianne Hutcherson of Vidalia; sister, Jessica “Charlie” LaBlanc of Vidalia; grandparent, Charles and Georgia Smith, both of Vidalia; grandfather, William D. Hutcherson Jr. and wife, Mary Ann, both of Brookhaven; two sons, Walker L. and Zachery H. Smith, both of Vidalia; daughter, Isabella G. Smith of Vidalia; uncle, William “Bubba” Hutcherson III of Vidalia; numerous cousins, Athena, Will, Alicia Hutcherson and Josh Shelton; best friend, Irby Campbell.
Pallbearers will be Tyler Blacock, Thad Campbell, Irby Campbell, Will Hutcherson IV, Danny Murell, Tapper Hendricks and Shawn Perry.
Honorary pallbearers will be the Houston Biker Club Lost Inc.
