Ferriday resident Eric Johnson died July 22 after suffering a gunshot wound to the rear end.
Police arrested Moecke J. Hawkins, 26, 216 2nd St., on July 22 in connection with the death.
The shooting occurred shortly after 1 a.m. on July 15 when a group of seven, including Johnson, was leaving AutoZone on E.E. Wallace Boulevard, Madison said shortly after the incident.
Nine shots were fired at the group of seven — four hit the AutoZone building, one hit Johnson in the rear end and four missed completely, Madison said shortly after the incident.
Two of the rounds that hit the building, penetrated AutoZone’s walls, triggering an alarm.
Police are also looking for Benny White and Gary Anderson in connection with the shooting.
