LISMORE — Services for Peaches Theresa Beard, 78, of Lismore, La., who died Wednesday, July 31, 2013, at Willis Knight Medical Center in Shreveport, La., will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Lismore Baptist Church with the Revs. Byron Gray, Paul Stephens and James Gass officiating.
Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the church.
Ms. Beard was born Nov. 15, 1934, in Concordia Parish, the daughter of Charlie and Loula Beard.
She was a member of Lismore Baptist Church.
Ms. Beard was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Pud Cannon; and one brother, Jimmy Nicholson Beard.
Survivors include four sisters, Mary Linnie Gass of Monterey, Ruby King of Montecello, Milt Wilson Brown and husband, Bozo, of Crockett, Texas and Sharron Ann Morace and husband, Jessie, of Ferriday; and one brother, CD Beard and wife, Ruth, of Jonesville.
Pallbearers will be Billy Wayne Cannon, Charlie Cannon, David Beard, Jessie Morace, Roger King, Samuel Gass, Andy Villoutreix and Charles Villoutreix.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jack Crane, Billy Faulkner, Pete Wheeler, Jack Mount and Mike Copeland.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lismore Baptist Church building fund in Peaches’ name.
