picNATCHEZ — Mass for Berdia Miller Lang, 84, of Natchez, who died Wednesday, July 24, 2013, at her residence, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Holy Family Catholic Church with the Very Rev. John Fallon, SSG, officiating.

Burial will follow at the Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Robert D. Mackel and Sons Funeral Home.

Visitation will be Saturday at the church with the Knights of Peter Claver rites beginning at 10 a.m. A Rosary will be at 10:30 a.m.

Mrs. Lang was born Sept. 15, 1928, in Natchez, the daughter of Joseph Miller and Bertha Rounds. She was raised by her aunt, Laura Coleman, and her loving cousins, Gertrude Dorsey and husband, Percy.

Mrs. Lang was a 1947 graduate of Brumfield High School and was a former teacher’s aide with the Natchez-Adams public school system.

She was preceded in death by her husband, L.D. Lang Jr.; one sister, Annie Lee Woods; parents; and her aunt and cousins who raised her.

Survivors include four children, L.D. Lang III, Carlman Lang and wife, Dixie, all of Natchez, Dolores Lang Moffett and Kim Bishop and husband, Larry, all of New Orleans; 10 grandchildren, L.D. Lang IV, Stanley R. Moffett, Dawne Moffett, Jessica M. Lang, Justin Lang and wife, Jimieka, Jason M. Lang, Keah D. Moffett, Holli Byrd, Tia M. Bishop and Landon Bishop; four great-grandchildren, Justin, Justice, Jophiel and Jazzrael Lang; one sister-in-law, Lucille Lang Dunn of Ridgecrest, Calif.; and a number of cousins, other relatives and friends.

The family wishes to extend thanks to Dr. Kenneth Stubbs and nurse, Lacie, Deaconess Hospice, especially Shelia Evans for their support and service, and to Wilbur Johnson for faithfully bringing Holy Communion.
