Mr. and Mrs. Charles Keith Clifford of Sanford, N.C., announce the engagement of their daughter, Suzannah Tildsley Clifford, to Joseph Cornelius McManus IV, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Cornelius McManus III of Durham, N.C.

The bride-to-be is a 2004 graduate of Lee County Senior High School and a graduate of Peace College where she earned a bachelor of arts degree in communications. She is employed by Suvannah Bee Company in Savannah, Ga., as a corporate showroom manager.

She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Lawrence Kimbrell of Natchez and Mrs. Charles A. Clifford and the late Mr. Clifford of Vidalia.

The groom-to-be is a 2003 graduate of Riverside High School in Durham and a graduate of North Carolina State University where he earned a bachelor of arts degree in environmental technology and management.

He is employed by Terracon Consulting Engineers and Scientists in Savannah as an environmental consultant.

He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Wilburn Davis Lee Jr. of Lexington, S.C. and Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Cornelius McManus Jr. of Charleston, S.C. The wedding will be Saturday, Aug. 31, 2013, at The Sutherland Estates in Wake Forrest, N.C.
