FERRIDAY – Services for Dorothy Ann Hamilton, 74, of Pea Ridge, Ark., who died Thursday, April 3, 2008, at Northwest Medical Center, of Benton County, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Young’s Funeral Home.
Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Hamilton was born Sept. 17, 1933, in Sicily Island, the daughter of Edwin Oscar Smith and Vera Cooper Smith. She was a member of Clayton Baptist Church. She loved to sew and work in her flower garden where she grew roses, which was her favorite flower. She enjoyed going to flea markets weekly with her husband.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, the Rev. Ellis Odell Smith; and two sisters, Beatrice Wosten and Edna McDuff.
Survivors include her husband, Robert L. Hamilton; one daughter, Katherine LeAnn Hamilton, both of Pea Ridge; three brothers, Elwaine Smith and Donald Smith, both of Clayton, and Richard Smith of Monterey; four sisters, Lorell Loomis of Ferriday, Murlyn McGregor and Marie Thornton, both of Frankington, La., and Barbara Scarbrock of West Monroe, La.; one niece, Tracey Hamilton of Pea Ridge ; and two nephews, Chris Robertson and Daniel Hamilton, both of Pea Ridge.
