NATCHEZ – Services for Frank Edward Holmes, 50, of Natchez, who died Wednesday, April 2, 2008, in Vidalia, will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Zion Mount Baptist Church with the Rev. John Hawkins officiating.
Burial will follow at Salem Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Robert D. Mackel and Sons Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from noon to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home and from noon until service time Friday at the church.
Mr. Holmes was born Nov. 5, 1957, in Natchez, the son of Eddie Holmes Sr. and Frankie Ruth Johnson Holmes. He was a self-employed auto repairman and enjoyed fishing and hunting.
He was preceded in death by his father and two brothers, Larry Holmes and Tony Wayne Holmes.
Survivors include his mother; six children, Zack Williams of New Orleans, Diana Williams, John Williams, Bessie W. Allen, Tia Dunmore and Tamera Dunmore, all of Natchez; two brothers, Ernest Johnson and wife, Claudie, both of Milwaukee, Wisc., and Eddie Holmes of Natchez; three sisters, Beverly Sue Gibson of Ferriday, Audrey Lynn Johnson of Natchez and Shirley Ann Davis of Houston; and a number of uncles, aunts, other relatives and many friends.
Pallbearers will be friends of the family.
