HAMBURG – Services for Carl P. Wactor Sr., 86, of Roxie, who died Wednesday, April 16, 2008, at his residence, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Hamburg Baptist Church.
Burial will follow at Midway Cemetery, in Meadville, under the direction of Riverwood Family Funeral Home in Brookhaven.
Visitation will be at 5 p.m. today at the church.
Mr. Wactor was born July 7, 1921, the son of James T. Wactor and Dellie Freeman Wactor. He was retired from International Paper Company. He was a member of Hamburg Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Virginia Baggett Wactor; and four brothers and four sisters.
Survivors include two sons, Carl Wactor Jr. and wife, Valerie, and the Rev. James Calvin Wactor and wife, Libby, all of Roxie; six grandchildren, Candice Riley and husband, Toby, both of Brandon, Michael Wactor, David Wactor, Shannon Allen and husband, John, and Catlyn Wactor and wife, Mary Catherine, all of Roxie, and Laine Edwards and husband, Shad, both of DeKalb; four great-grandchildren, William Thomas Riley, Sabrina Allen, Cheyenne Edwards and Justin Edwards; one brother, Ray Wactor and wife, Catherine, both of Meadville; and a number of nieces and nephews.
