CharlesBeamer obitpicNATCHEZ — Services for Charles E. “Big Man” Beamer, 48, of Natchez, who died Tuesday, July 9, 2013, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Christian Hope Baptist Church with the Rev. Lonnie Covington and the Rev. Ernest Ford Sr. officiating.

Burial will follow at Pry’s Temple Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Robert D. Mackel and Sons Funeral Home.

Visitation will be today at the funeral home and from 1 p.m. until service time Sunday at the church.

Mr. Beamer was born Dec. 3, 1964, in Adams County, the son of Alonzo Irving and Ruby Beamer.

He was a 1983 graduate of South Natchez High School and was the operator of Old Standard Station.

Mr. Beamer was a member of Pry’s Temple Baptist Church. He was a Dallas Cowboys fan and enjoyed playing Dominos.

Survivors include his mother; his father and stepmother, Mildred; one son, Otis Anderson and wife, Tameka; one daughter, Tyonna Davis; special friend, Lorraine Anderson; a number of grandchildren; seven sisters, Cherri Harmon, Mary Ann Irving, Linda Pernell and husband, Tyrone, all of Fayetteville, N.C., Etta Ray Hubbard and husband, Lawrence, Marie Queen and husband, Denver, Ivy Hammette and husband, Calvin, and Jessie Dorsey and husband, Leon; two brothers, Kenny Wayne Beamer and wife, Darlene, and Eric Beamer and wife, Angela; three stepchildren, Devin Anderson, Loreal Anderson and James C. Luster III, all of Natchez; and a number of other relatives and friends.
