CLAYTON – Services for William Coleman Dix, 66, of Natchez, formerly of Ferriday, who died Wednesday, April 23, 2008, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at 1 p.m. Friday at St. Mark Baptist Church, in Clayton, with the Rev. Ricky O’Quinn officiating.
Burial will follow at Consurella Cemetery, in Lake St. John, under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Dix was born Sept. 11, 1941, in Waterproof, the son of Henry Coleman and Dorothy Dix Minor.
Survivors include his mother of San Francisco; one son, Kenneth Carter of Baton Rouge; four daughters, Delisha Coleman, Krasaundra G. Hunter and Rachel Coleman, all of Oakland, and Michelle King of Decatur, Ga.; three brothers, Samuel Minor of Suisun, Calif., Clifford Wayne Minor of Oakland and Charles E. Minor of Fairfield, Calif.; four sisters, Carolyn M. Morales of Ferriday, Debra M. Andrews of Natchez, Vera M. Sanford of Oakland and Jean M. Young of San Francisco; five grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
