FERRIDAY – Services for Oral Thomas, 57, of Natchez, who died Wednesday, April 30, 2008, at his residence, will be at 11 a.m. Sunday at Concordia Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial will follow at Ferriday Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Thomas was born March 22, 1951, in Natchez, the son of Willie and Zelia Wallace Thomas. He was educated in the Concordia Parish School System and was employed with Natchez Water Works.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Willie Thomas Jr. and James Thomas; and one sister, Florida Turner.
Survivors include his wife, Evelenia Corey Thomas; one son, James Thomas; one daughter, Vickey Thomas; four stepsons, Larry Corey, Travis Corey, Carl Corey and Anthony Corey, all of Natchez; four grandchildren; two brothers-in-law, Jimmy Dale Corey Jr. and Dewayne E. Corey; one sister-in-law, Cynthia Mangrum; a number of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins; and his Natchez Waterworks family.
