NATCHEZ — Services for Betty Jean Walley Tarver, 66, of Natchez, who died Sunday, July 7, 2013, at her residence, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Cliff Temple Baptist Church with members of the church officiating.
Burial will follow at Jersey Settlers Cemetery in Kingston under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today and from 1 p.m. until service time Wednesday, both at the church.
Mrs. Tarver was born Sept. 5, 1946, in Bucatanna, the daughter of Nollie Walley and Ouida Busby Walley. She was a homemaker and a member of Cliff Temple Baptist Church.
Mrs. Tarver was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Joseph, James and Jerry Walley; and one sister, Mary Walley.
Survivors include her husband, George Tarver; three sons, Roy David Tarver and wife, Tahnya, John Dlynn Tarver, all of Natchez, and James Richard Tarver of Vidalia; six grandchildren, Kaitlynn E. Tarver, George Wesley Tarver, both of Vidalia, Matthew Tarver, Christian Luke Tarver, Jacob Dlynn Tarver, all of Natchez, and Kerrie Nations; two great-grandchildren, Ryliegh Eileene Tarver of Vidalia and Haven Nations; one brother, Donald Walley of Vicksburg; and one sister, Brenda Walley Dawkins of Vicksburg.
Pallbearers will be James Smith, Dave Upton, Dusty McIlwain, Mike Upton, Brian Upton and Douglas McIlwain.
Honorary pallbearers will be Kevin Perrin, Mark Perrin and Keith Smith.
