Benefit dinner at saloon to help local

NATCHEZ — Friends and family will rally this weekend to raise funds for a local man’s medical expenses.
A benefit for Mark Porter, who needs both lung and liver transplants, will start at 11 a.m. Saturday at Under-the-Hill saloon.
Organizers said the benefit will include barbecue plates for sale, live music, numerous raffles and door prizes.
The raffles will include drawings for $1, $5 and $10 tickets.
The two packages for the $10 tickets include a one-night stay for two at either the Eola Hotel or Twin Oaks. The Eloa package also includes a $50 gift certificate, a bottle of wine and other assorted extras in a basket, with a total value of approximately $600.
The Twin Oaks package also includes breakfast for two at Dunlieth, a $50 gift certificate to Magnolia Bar and Grill, a bottle of wine and other assorted extras in a basket, with a total value of approximately $450.
