JEFFERSON, Texas — Memorial services for Joseph Rowan “Joe” Moak Sr., 57, who died Friday, June 28, 2013, of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident in Jefferson, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Immanuel Baptist Church located at 5192 FM Road 729 in Jefferson.

He worked as a truck driver for thirty years and spent the last five years working for Marion County, Texas. He was an accomplished bass fisherman, hunter, musician, motorcycle aficionado and an active member of the Immanuel Baptist Church for the last twenty years. Joe was also known to many as the “Singing Preacher” as he would frequently bless those around him with his beautiful and passionate singing voice. He even recorded a gospel CD in 2002. Joe never met a stranger and was always surrounded by friends and family who loved him dearly. He will be missed, but will forever be loved in the hearts of many people whose lives he helped make better.

Joe was preceded in death by his father, Charles Moak Sr.

Survivors include his mother, Sally Moak; his devoted wife of 23 years, Noelle Moak; children Joe Moak Jr., Joshua Moak and wife Patty, Michelle Fraternali and husband, Simone, Wendy McGrew, Micheal Gerald and wife, Sabrina; siblings Charles Moak Jr., Dan Moak and Bridget Moak; ten grandchildren Caitlin, Kimmee, Blake, Gabby, Patrick, Kaleb, Alex, Allison, Robert and Sophia, and a number several nieces and nephews.
