Callie Mock

NATCHEZ — Services for Callie Mock, 93, of Natchez, who died Wednesday, May 7, 2008, at her residence, will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at New Beginnings Missionary Baptist Church (China Grove location) with Pastor LeRoy White officiating.

Burial will follow at Leesdale Cemetery under the direction of George F. West Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 1 p.m. until service time Sunday at the church.

Ms. Mock was born Nov. 20, 1914, in Adams County, the only child of Mattie Mayberry Mackey and Charles Mock.

She was a member of New Beginnings Missionary Baptist Church (the former St. Peter Rock Baptist Church) and was retired from the Natchez-Adams School District.

Ms. Mock was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include a daughter, Mary Mock of Natchez; three sons, James Mock of Highland, Calif., Clyde Mock and wife, Lorene and Charles Mock and wife, Brenda, all of Natchez; five grandchildren, Kathryn M. Green and husband, Gene, both of Lithonia, Ga., Gwendolyn M. Moore and husband, Williams, both of Hampton, Ga., Charlette Mock and Casey Mock, both of Natchez and James Mock Jr. of Highland, Calif.; two great-grandchildren, Jamal Green and Jordan Green, both of Lithonia, Ga.; and a number of cousins.

Pallbearers will be deacons of New Beginnings Missionary Baptist Church.
