Monday, June 3:

Andrew Morgan pleaded guilty to grand larceny (Count 1) in Judge Lille Blackmon Sanders’ court. Sentenced to 10 years in the Mississippi Department of Corrections. After serving one day of said 10-year sentence, the remaining balance of said sentence is to be served on five years post release supervision, which shall be supervised under the supervision of MDOC. Full credit given for any time already served in the Adams County Jail. Must pay all court costs, a prosecution fee of $200 within 30 days from this day (May 28) in the Office of the Adams County Circuit Clerk and restitution of $1,800 within seven months from this day (May 28) in the office of the Adams County Circuit Clerk. Count 2 (grand larceny) is dismissed.

Friday, May 31:

Billye J. Wilkinson, a.k.a Billye Wilkinson Murray, pleaded guilty to embezzlement in Sanders’ court. Sentenced to five years in MDOC suspended and the defendant is placed on five years formal probation under the supervision of MDOC. Must pay all court costs, a prosecution fee of $200 and restitution of $12,764 in the office of the Adams County Circuit Clerk.

Thursday, May 30:

Kevin Sinclair Culbert pleaded guilty to receiving/possession of stolen property in Sanders’ court. The Court withheld acceptance of the defendant’s plea and entered an order of non-adjudication of guilt, provided successful completion of the conditions imposed in this order. Must pay all court costs and a $200 prosecution fee with 30 days from this day (May 20) in the office of the Adams County Circuit Clerk. Court retains jurisdiction for one year.

Jacob Simmons pleaded guilty to burglary of an automobile (Count 1) in Sanders’ court. Sentenced to seven years in MDOC. After serving one day of said seven-year sentence, the remaining balance is to be served on five years post release supervision, which shall be supervised under the supervision of MDOC. Full credit given for any time already served in the Adams County Jail. Must pay all court costs, a prosecution fee of $200 and outstanding restitution in cause numbered 100KR0112S of $2,710.50 in the office of the Adams County Circuit Clerk. Count 2 (burglary of an automobile) is dismissed.

Marquette Thomas pleaded guilty to grand larceny in Sanders’ court. The court specifically withheld acceptance of the defendant’s plea and entered an order of non-adjudication upon acceptance into the Sixth Judicial Circuit Adult Drug Court Program, and did place the defendant into the Adult Drug Court Program until the court impose a sentence; pending acceptance into and successful completion of the conditions of the drug court program and the conditions imposed in the order. Must pay all court costs and a prosecution fee of $200 in this matter in the office of the Adams County Circuit Clerk. It is further ordered that MDOC fees shall be waived and the defendant is ordered to pay all Drug Court fees in the amount of $1,200. Further ordered that the defendant shall pay an assessment in the amount of $1,800 to the Sixth Judicial Circuit Adult Drug Court Program.

Jason L. Fulton, who was charged with grand larceny, has his case entered nolle prosequi in Sanders’ court for the reason that insufficient evidence exists with which to sustain a conviction.

Cartrell Harris, who was charged with grand larceny, has his case entered nolle prosequi in Sanders’ court for the reason that insufficient evidence exists with which to sustain a conviction.

Michael J. Coleman, who was sentenced to one year probation on March 5, 2012 for felony shoplifting, has successfully completed his probation and the charge is dismissed in Sanders’ court.

Thursday, May 23:

Kandi Slover pleaded guilty to felony exploitation of a vulnerable adult (Counts 9 and 11) and felony embezzlement (Count 20) in Judge Forest “Al” Johnson’s court. Sentenced to 10 years on Count 9, 10 years on Count 11, and 10 years on Count 20 to run concurrently in MDOC. Full credit given for any time already served in the Adams County Jail. The court finds that the defendant is non-violent and low risk, therefore, said sentence is suspended and the defendant is place on intensive supervision (house arrest) for one year with MDOC. After successful completion of house arrest, the defendant will be placed on post-release supervision for five years with MDOC. Must pay restitution of $22,509.52, a fine of $5,000, and a fee of $1,000 to the Mississippi Victim’s Fund, all court costs and fees incurred by the said county, as well as all investigative fees of the Mississippi Attorney General’s Office. All court-ordered fines, fees and restitution as listed above must be paid in full immediately. Counts 1-8, 10, and 12-19 (felony exploitation of a vulnerable adult) are dismissed.

Moecke James Hawkins pleaded guilty to felony shoplifting in Sanders’ court. Sentenced to three years in MDOC. After serving 30 days, the remaining balance is be served on one year post release supervision, which shall be supervised under the supervision of MDOC.
