NATCHEZ — Emily Mitchell has joined the marketing staff of The Natchez Democrat as a marketing consultant for downtown Natchez.

Mitchell, a native of Baton Rouge, recently moved to Natchez, her fiancé’s hometown.

She earned her bachelor’s degree from Spring Hill College in Mobile, Ala., and her master’s degree from Tulane University.

Mitchell previously worked for STAT Home Health and St. Joseph Hospice in New Orleans.

In her free time, Mitchell enjoys walking her French Bulldog, Louis, listening to her record collection and attending Barre fitness classes.

“I’m excited to be a newcomer to this vibrant community,” she said. “I love the history, beautiful architecture and pride of place that makes Natchez unique, and I look forward to making it my home nearer my fiancé and family.”

Mitchell is engaged to John Holleman.
