Natchez man charged after stealing copper

NATCHEZ — A Natchez man was charged this week for reportedly stealing approximately 3,000 pounds of copper wire from a local business.
Adams County Sheriff Chuck Mayfield said Deonice Mentrell Jones, 26, 89 Cemetery Road, was charged with grand larceny.
Jones allegedly stole the copper wire from Natchez Electric & Supply Co., Mayfield said.
Jones was in custody at the Adams County Jail on a $15,000 bond.
