Mack Washington

ROXIE – Services for Mack Morris Washington, 87, of Roxie, who died Sunday, May 25, 2008, at Franklin County Memorial Hospital, in Meadville, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Zion Baptist Church.
Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Williams Mortuary in Brookhaven.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
Mr. Washington was born May 25, 2008, in Franklin County, the son of Hillary Washington and Ellen Holmes Washington. He was retired as a truck driver for Franklin and Adams Counties Waste Management offices and was a self-employed logger.
Mr. Washington was a member of Springhill Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, L.G. Washington and Henry Payne; and one sister, Bessie Marrow.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Thelma Weeks Washington; three daughters, Ruth Watkins, of Roxie, and Earline White and husband, Nita, and Marie Kelly, all of Natchez; three sons, the Rev. Alexander White and wife, Liza, both of Slidell, La., Mack Morris Washington Jr. and wife, Joyce, and Dale J. Starks, all of Roxie; one sister, Girlee Sanders and husband, Melvin, both of Roxie; and a number of grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
