At least thirteen unlocked vehicles burglarized Monday

NATCHEZ — Unlocked vehicles were easy targets Monday for thieves who rifled through and burglarized at least 13 vehicles.
Natchez Police Department Detective Jerry Ford said NPD does not currently have any suspects but is urging residents to call in any tips.
“We’re asking the public to keep an eye on their property and their vehicles, and if they see anything suspicious, please call us immediately because we are trying to catch whoever this is,” Ford said.
The burglaries occurred on Somerset Drive, South Rankin Street, Woodville Drive, Auburn Avenue, Ratcliff Place, Pecan Way Drive, Wheeler Drive, Orleans Street, Park Place and Robinson Street.
Many car owners reported that their vehicles had been rifled through but nothing was missing. Others reported missing GPS systems, cell phone chargers, keys and other items.
Ford said police suspect all the burglaries are related.
