BROOKHAVEN — Services for Ida Mae Lambert Martin Netherland, 94, who died Monday, June 24, 2013, at her residence, will be at 2 p.m. today at Hartman-Harrigill Funeral Home Chapel in Brookhaven.
Burial will follow at Union Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Hartman/Harrigill Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Netherland was born May 11, 1919, in Lincoln County, the daughter of James Luther “Shug” Lambert and Doney Delaughter Lambert. She was a factory worker and a housewife.
Mrs. Netherland was Baptist.
Mrs. Netherland was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, Loney Lee Martin and Jewel Netherland; one son, Howard Loney Louis Martin Sr.; three grandchildren, Howard Lonney Martin, Kathy Martin Russell and Randall Martin; two great-grandsons; and 14 siblings, Louisus “Son” Lambert, Lena Mae Lambert Searcy, Mary Lambert Davis, Bertha Lambert Peacock, Ben Lambert, Lillian Lambert Seales, Hazel Lambert Preister, Etta Mae Lambert Hall, Cleo Lambert Searcy, J.L. Lambert, Genell Lambert Powell, John Edward “J.E.” Lambert and F.W. Lambert.
Survivors include seven children, Robert Lee Martin and wife, Mar Deanna, David Earl Martin and Eva Martin Farmer Williams, all of Arkansas, Luna Mae Martin Harper and husband, Jerry, and John Edward Martin and wife, Dorothy Beavers, all of Brookhaven, James Luther “J.L.” Martin and partner, Kyle Phillips, of Baton Rouge, and Mary Michele Martin Renard and husband, Robbie, of Natchez; 112 grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Eula Bea Lambert Price of Huntsville, Ala.; one sister-in-law, Sue Knox Lambert of Natchez; and a number of nieces, nephews and friends.
Pallbearers will be Howard Martin Jr., Chris Harper, Johnny Martin, David Martin Jr., Alex Farmer, Shannon Price and Billy Baker.
