NATCHEZ — Services for Florence Lexene Rand, 84, of Natchez, who died Sunday, June 23, 2013, at Crown Health & Rehab in Natchez, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Laird Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Curt Wilson officiating.

Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Rand was born Nov. 12, 1928, at Pine Bluff, Ark., the daughter of William Butler Suggs and Florence M. Donohue Suggs.

Mrs. Rand was small in stature, with an unfailing spirit and energy. She excelled at everything she did. She had a love for all things growing. She was ever productive for the Lord, her family and friends.

Mrs. Rand was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.

Survivors include one daughter, Anglea Mercer and husband, Kenneth, of Natchez; two sons, Jerry Allen and wife, Linda, of Carthage and Ronnie P. Bennett and wife, Cynthia, of Natchez; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; five brothers; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be family and friends of the family.
