NATCHEZ — Services for Joel R. Cavallas, 54, of Roxie, who died Sunday, June 16, 2013, at his residence, will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Parkway Baptist Church with the Rev. Jeff Brewer officiating.

Burial will follow at Jersey Settlers Cemetery in the Kingston community under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home and from noon until service time Wednesday at the church.

Mr. Cavallas was born June 3, 1959, in Fayetteville, Ark., the son of Joe R. Cavallas and Joy Rutledge Cavallas. He was the owner of Cavallas, LLC, an oil field company.

Mr. Cavallas was preceded in death by his father.

Survivors include his wife, Edie Cavallas; one son, Cliff Lazarus Cavallas and wife, Lori, of Northport, Ala.; one daughter, Sarah Cavallas Winters and husband, Dustin, also of Northport; three grandchildren, Courtney and Bailey Lazarus and Bella Winters; his mother of Natchez; two sisters, Jane Cavallas Smith and husband, Greg, of Dallas and Jodi Cavallas Bourdin and husband, Selton, of Clinton; and one nephew, Scot Smith.

Pallbearers will be Judson Willard, Gene Williams, Mark Williams, Selton Bourdin, George Bunch and Scott Smith.
