FERRIDAY – Services for Helen Reed Twist, 78, of Monterey, who died Thursday, June 26, 2008, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at 10 a.m. today at Young’s Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Russell Crum and the Rev. Andy Johnson officiating.
Burial will follow at New Era Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Mrs. Twist was born June 29, 1929, in Decatur, Ark., the daughter of Cecil and Helen Reed.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J.D. Twist; and her parents.
Survivors include one son, Johnny Twist and wife, Lena ; one daughter, Barbara Lipsey and husband, Paul, all of Monterey; four grandchildren, Fonda Collins, Jimmy Lipsey, David Twist and Bonnie Vines; five great-grandchildren, J.O. Adams, Andrew Forman, Tarra Forman, Leigha Lipsey and Leighton Lipsey; and one great-great-grandchild, Michael Andrew Forman Jr.
Pallbearers will be Gene Lee Morace, Jimmy Lipsey, Leighton Lipsey, Andrew Forman, Weldon Collins, Tim Charrier, Danny Vines and James Adams.
