HARPERVILLE — Graveside services for Evelyn Langford Ros, 84, of Natchez, who died Saturday June 28, 2008 at Crown Health & Rehab of Natchez will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 1, 2008 at Harperville Memorial Cemetery in Harperville with the Rev. Ron Ledford officiating.
Burial will follow in Harperville Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8 p.m. Monday at Laird Funeral Home Union Street.
Mrs. Ros was born March 29,1924 in Scott County, the daughter of Thomas Dewitt and Eva Mary Pettey Langford.
She attended Harperville School. She was employed over 40 years in oil and gas industry and retiring from Meason Operating Co. in 1995. She was a founding member of Desk & Derrick Club of the Miss-Lou. She was a member of St Mary Basilica.
Mrs. Ros was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter Carolyn T. Serio; one granddaughter, Rebecca Fleming; and an infant grandson.
Survivors include two daughters, Lang Fleming and husband Steve, both of Vidalia and Robbye T. Magee of Texarkana, Texas; two sons, Jim Ros and wife Deanie both of Hammond, La., and Philip Ros and wife Jayna both of Belle Chasse, La.; 18 grandchildren: Aileen S. Middleton, Carolyn S. Heard, Stephanie S. Mattheney, S. Barnett Serio, III, Jolynn S. Cole, Amanda M. Fleming, Elise Ros, Elaine Ros, Collins Ros, Dominick Ros, Austin Ros, Christine R. Steinkamp, Jean M. Brown, Joe Magee, James Magee, John Magee, Brandon Ros and Heather Ros.; one brother, Thomas D. Langford of Forest; and one uncle: Clyde A.Pettey of Harperville; 16 great-grand children and one great-great-grandson.
