Edward Aucoin

JACKSON — Services for Edward Joseph Aucoin Jr., 67, who died Thursday, July 3, 2008, at University Medical Center in Jackson will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Saint Richards Catholic Church in Jackson.

Burial will follow at Parkway Memorial Cemetery on Highland Colony Parkway in Madison.

Visitation will be at 9 a.m. until service time Monday.

Mr. Joseph was born in New Orleans, June 17, 1941 to the late Edward J. Aucoin, Sr. and Lucille Lombardo Aucoin. He obtained the rank of Eagle Scout with Troop 158 in Natchez, attended Holy Cross Catholic High School in New Orleans and was a graduate of Mississippi State University in 1963.

Ed was a long time member of St. Richards Catholic Church and had worked with Allstate Insurance Company as a sales representative since 1970.

He was an avid reader and historian. His hobbies were building and collecting model trains. He also enjoyed working with wood and building furniture. Ed was a loyal Mississippi State Bulldog and Chicago Cubs fan.

Ed was a loving husband, father, brother and grandfather and is survived by his wife of 46 years, Patsy Caldwell Aucoin; two sons, Kenneth E. Aucoin and wife, Beth of Brandon and Michael K. Aucoin and wife, Teri of New Providence, Iowa; one sister Barbara A. Aucoin of Natchez; and 3 grandchildren, Kaelan, Nicole and Edward.
