Billy Peavy

MANIFEST, La. – Services for Billy Ray Peavy, 48, of Ferriday, who died Monday, July 14, 2008, in Alexandria, La., will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Community Pentecostal Church, in Manifest, La., with the Rev. Claude Terrell officiating.
Burial will follow at Heard Cemetery, in Manifest, under the direction of Comer Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Visitation will be from 5 to 10 p.m. today at the church and from 9 a.m. until service time Thursday at the church.
Mr. Peavy was born March 16, 1960, in Midland, Texas, the son of William L. and Janice S. Peavy. He was a resident of Concordia Parish for 18 years and was a member of the Community Pentecostal Church. He was employed as a computer technician.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Michelle Peavy; five sons, Thomas Roach, John Roach, Justin Peavy, Christopher Peavy, all of Ferriday, and Toby Peavy of Copperas Cove, Texas; five sisters, Linda Faye Peacock of Santa Anna, Texas, Clara Jean Terrell of Wyoming, Sharon Kay Johnson of Natchitoches, La., Shirley Faye Peavy of Brownwood, Texas, and Ruby Mae Terrell of Harrisonburg, La.; two grandchildren, Sean Thomas Roach and Skylar Marie Roach, both of Ferriday; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Thomas Roach, Justin Peavy, John Roach, Bobby Roach, Billy Wayne Terrell and Wayne Terrell.
