NATCHEZ — Services for J.B. Reed Sr., 93, of Natchez, who died Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2008, at Baptist Hospital, in Jackson, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Murray Temple Church of God in Christ with Elder Elijah Lewis officiating.

Burial will follow at the Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of Lakeover Memorial Funeral Home in Jackson.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Monday at the church.

Mr. Reed was born Nov. 2, 1914.

Survivors include one son, Eddie R. Reed of Natchez; three daughters, Dr. Betty Strong and husband, Dock Sr., both of Atlanta, Barbara Fitzgerald and Kathy Cole and husband, Lester, both of Jackson; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ben Reed, of Fayette, and Roger Reed of Baton Rouge; and two sisters-in-law, Martha Mitchell and Dorothy Camper and husband, Louis, both of Dallas.
