Borum earns certification in hospice, palliative care

NATCHEZ — Dr. Charles Borum, a local family medicine specialist and medical director of Hospice Compassus-Natchez, recently achieved the gold standard credentials in hospice and palliative care, earning a sub-specialty certification in Hospice and Palliative Medicine from the American Board of Medical Specialties.

“I am committed to providing the best possible hospice and palliative care for my patients,” Borum said.

“As the demand for and utilization of hospice care continues to grow, it is increasingly important for physicians to practice accurately and competently by achieving the highest level of specialized training available.

Borum, a graduate of the University of Mississippi School of Medicine in Jackson, specializes in family medicine and hospice care.

He completed his residency at Tulsa Medical College in Bartlesville, Okla., and is board certified in family medicine. Borum is a member of the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons and the Southern Medical Association.
