GLOSTER — Services for Lora Lee Vines Mims, 73, who died Tuesday, May 21, 2013, at her residence near Crosby, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Brown Funeral Home Chapel in Gloster.

Burial will follow at Mars Hill Cemetery near Crosby under the direction of Brown Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today and from noon until service time Saturday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Mims was born Dec. 1, 1940, in Wilkinson County, the daughter of James Dennis Vines Sr. and Gladys Arnold McMillian. She lived and raised her family in Natchez.

Mrs. Mims worked as an office manager for Browning Oil Tools of Natchez and retired after 20 years of service.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Bennie P. Mims.

Survivors include one son, Dennis Martin Hammett Sr. and wife, Dianne, of Natchez; two daughters, Cheryl Jeanne Everhart and husband, Mark, of Vidalia and Kristie Anne January and husband, Thomas, of Wilkinson County; six grandchildren, Dennis Hammett, Ashley Hammett, Brittany Hammett, Nikki DeCell, Brandon Welch and Kacie Welch; nine great-grandchildren; one brother, James Dennis Vines Jr. and wife, Deborah; and two sisters, Christine Jackson and Betty Ann Nettles and husband, Jerry.

Pallbearers will be Wayne Jackson, Mike Perry, Hunter Atkins, Dan Perry, Adam Perry and Greg Perry.

Honorary pallbearer will be Marshall Woods.
