Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Guido was born May 18, 1927, in Hull, Texas, the daughter of Walter C. and Amy Bevers.
A woman with much love for her family, Doris was involved in many activities that could include all members of her family. She enjoyed gardening of all kinds with her late husband, T.J. When her two sons, Al and Paul, were younger, she and her husband took them duck hunting, dove hunting and fishing. This was a love that the entire family shared throughout Doris’s life. As a family, they were avid golfers that spent many days on the course together. For Doris, anything that her family loved was a part of her life as well. Holidays were always special events for Doris and her family. Every Christmas was marked with her flocked white tree in the front window. When it came to her three granddaughters, Leslie, Aimee and Jennie, she involved herself in every event, birthday and shopping trip she could. She also enjoyed playing bridge and she achieved the American Contract Bridge League Life Master status.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, T.J. Guido; two brothers, Bill Bevers and James Kenneth Bevers; and one sister, Francis J. Barnett.
Survivors include two sons, David Allan Guido and wife, Sue, and Paul Bevers Guido and wife, Suzanne, all of Natchez; three grandchildren, Leslie Guido of Nashville, Tenn., Aimee Guido and Jennie Guido, both of Natchez; one sister, Vera Lea Rasbury and husband, Robert; and her beloved, Pebbles.
Pallbearers will be David Heard, Bubba Kaiser, Bobby Meason, Charles Moroney, Gary Guido and Stephen Guido.
Honorary pallbearers will be her beloved bridge partners and her golfing buddies.
Special thanks to her sitters, Rose, Melita, Joanne and Rita.
