WOODVILLE — Services for Tomaise Cupit “Madear” Jones, 82, of Woodville, who died Tuesday, May 7, 2013, at Promise Hospital in Vidalia, will be at noon Saturday at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Perrytown with the Rev. Reginald Jackson officiating.

Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Mrs. Jones was born Oct. 10, 1930, in Woodville, the daughter of Richard and Lethie Cupit.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert T. Jones; and one son, Ivory Thomas Jones.

Survivors include one son, Robert L. Jones; two daughters, Mary Lee Lawson and husband, L.C., and Lethia Walker and husband, Tyree; three grandsons, L.C. Lawson Jr., Johnny Lawson and Devonte Walker; one granddaughter, Lynette Renee Jones; one sister, Annie Bell Lawson and husband, Manzell Sr.; two brothers-in-law, the Rev. Paul Jones and wife, Geneva, and Lewis Boyd and wife, Nancy; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
