GARDEN CITY – Services for Corine Kettley Alexander, 91, of Roxie, who died Saturday, Sept. 13, 2008, at Franklin Memorial Hospital, in Meadville, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Matthew Baptist Church, in Garden City, with the Rev. Frank Jenkins and the Rev. Ricky O’Quinn officiating.
Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Anderson Funeral Home in Gloster.
Mrs. Alexander was born April 17, 1917, in Roxie, the daughter of Henry and Lurenia Kettley.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Alexander; three children; her parents; six sisters; one brother; three stepdaughters; one uncle; one aunt; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Survivors include four children, James Kettley and wife, Airbunia, both of Biloxi, Bernice Huff and husband, Horace, both of Garden City, Willie Sue Reynolds and Rosie Mae Alexander, both of Biloxi; one stepdaughter, Maybelle Griffin and husband, Albert, both of Crosby; two adopted daughters, Rakell and Veronica Kettley, both of Garden City; and a number of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
