Mr. and Mrs. Richard T. Hicks of Knoxville, Tenn. announce the engagement of their daughter, Vanessa Anna-Isabel Frye, to Dr. Nathan Armand Burns, son of Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Parnell Burns Jr. of Natchez.

The bride-to-be is also the daughter of the late Mr. Ted G. Frye Jr.

She is a graduate of East Tennessee State University where she earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing management. She is employed as a project manager at iostudio in Nashville.

She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Carl Morris, Mrs. Ted G. Frye Sr. and the late Ted G. Frye Sr., all of Knoxville.

The groom-to-be is a graduate of Mississippi State University, the University of Mississippi School of Dentistry in Jackson and has completed his pediatric dental residency at the University of Alabama, Birmingham. He practices pediatric dentistry at Brentwood Dental Specialists.

He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Parnell Burns Sr. of Natchez and the late Mr. and Mrs. Martin Luther Riley of Jackson.

The wedding will be Saturday, June 8, 2013, at Dunleith Historic Inn in Natchez.

A reception will follow the ceremony.
