FERRIDAY – Services for Dissie Norris, 83, of Ferriday, who died Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2008, at Riverland Medical Center, in Ferriday, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Mount Mariah Baptist Church , in Ferriday, with the Rev. James Oliver officiating.
Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Mrs. Norris was born Jan. 6, 1925, in Monterey, the daughter of Ed and Mary White Drew.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include two stepsons, Ray Crumb of Ferriday and Jimmie Moore of Vidalia; five sisters, Eliza Green of Ferriday, Martha Branch of Jonesville, Mary Smith of Clayton, Lena Green of St. Francisville, La., and Janie Smith of Frogmore; and two brothers, James Carter of Sicily Island and Richard Drew of Woodville.
