NATCHEZ – Services for Sue E. Pyron, 93, of Natchez, who died Sunday, Sept. 28, 2008, at Promise Specialty Hospital, in Ferriday, will be at 10 a.m. today at First Baptist Church, in Natchez, with the Rev. Dan Wynn and the Rev. Doug Broome officiating.
Burial will follow at the Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Mrs. Pyron was born Jan. 2, 1915, in Fulton, Tenn., the daughter of Will Gray and Nola May Milstead Etheridge. She was a member of First Baptist Church for 63 years and a member of Rebekah Sunday School Class.
Mrs. Pyron was also a member of the Natchez Garden Club.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, David Wallace Pyron.
Survivors include one son, Bernie Pyron of Natchez; one daughter, Suzanne Womack and husband, Sonny, both of Utica; six grandchildren, David Pyron and wife, Angie, both of Seminary, Susan Pyron of Natchez, Blair Pyron of Brandon, Paul Womack and wife, Karrie, Larisa and Mike Womack; two great-grandchildren, Landon and Kaitlin Womack, all of Utica; one sister, Johnnie Gay; three nieces, Shirley Stephens, Karen Callon and husband, Fred, and Linda Vermeulin; two sisters-in-law, Agnes Pyron and Jo Pyron; and a number of other nieces and nephews on her deceased husband’s side of the family.
The family extends thanks to her dear friend and caregiver, Debra M. Coach, Dr. Kenneth Stubbs, Dr. Barry Tillman and the entire staff of Promise Hospital.
Pallbearers will be David B. Pyron, Blair F. Pyron, Paul Womack, Mike Womack, Fred Callon and Billy Pyron.
